Welcome to Achilles Journey. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully, especially the medical disclaimer below.

1. What Achilles Journey is

Achilles Journey helps you understand and track a typical Achilles-tendon recovery timeline. Achilles Journey is intended as a documentation and educational tool. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, recommend rehabilitation or determine whether progression is safe.

2. Not a substitute for professional care

The content and timelines shown are general education, not instructions for your specific injury. Your surgeon, physiotherapist, or other treating clinician always takes precedence. Never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you read here. If you think you have a medical emergency — for example a sudden pop, sharp new pain, loss of movement, or signs of a blood clot such as calf swelling, redness, warmth, or breathlessness — seek urgent medical care immediately.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding agreement to use the app. Do not use Achilles Journey on behalf of anyone else without their permission.

4. Your account

• Keep your sign-in method secure; you're responsible for activity under your account.
• Provide accurate information so the educational timeline is meaningful to you.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, don't:

• attempt to access other users' data or defeat our security controls;
• disrupt, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service;
• use it for any unlawful purpose or to give others medical advice.

6. Your content

The recovery information you enter belongs to you. You grant us permission to store and process it solely to operate the service as described in our Privacy Policy. If you opt in to anonymous community insights, you allow us to include your data in aggregated, de-identified statistics.

7. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the educational content applies to your situation, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will produce any particular recovery outcome.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Achilles Journey and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decision you make about your care based on the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Ending your use

You can delete your data or account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or to protect the service and its users.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. If changes are material, we'll make reasonable effort to notify you. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.

11. Ongoing development

Achilles Journey is actively developed and provided "as is". You may encounter bugs, incomplete features, unexpected behaviour, or interruptions, and content may change as it develops. Do not rely on it as your only record. Please tell us about problems so we can fix them.
