About

Built from a real recovery.

Achilles Journey grew out of one person’s long recovery from an Achilles tendon rupture — and the questions that kept returning through it: where am I now, and how far have I actually come?

The problem: recovery gets scattered

A year-long recovery doesn’t live in one place. It’s spread across appointment notes, half-remembered conversations, a photo here, a message there, and the small day-to-day changes that are easy to forget by the time the next review comes around. When someone asks “how’s it going?”, the honest answer is often “I’m not sure — it’s hard to tell.”

That fragmentation is the gap Achilles Journey was made to close. Not by telling you what to do, but by giving you a calm, single place to record what actually happened and see it laid out over time.

What it’s for

Achilles Journey helps you document and understand your own journey — short check-ins, milestones, appointments and meaningful changes, all on one personal timeline. The educational protocol content sits alongside your record as context for a typical, uncomplicated recovery. It is never an instruction, and it never overrides the plan your treating team has given you.

Context, not instructionsProtocols explain what people commonly experience around a stage. They don’t tell you what to do next.
Your care team leadsAnything your clinician tells you is the authority for your care. The app records it — it doesn’t replace it.
Your record, yoursYou can export or delete your data at any time. It’s your recovery, documented on your terms.

How we try to be responsible

Achilles Journey is a product built by a person who lived a recovery — not a medical authority, and not a source of clinical expertise. The educational pathways are drafted from cited, publicly available sources and are prepared for independent professional review before they’re treated as reviewed. We keep our sources transparent, describe our protocol model honestly, and iterate as sources and professional feedback evolve.

Achilles Journey is a personal recovery-tracking tool. It documents your recovery and offers educational context — it does not diagnose, prescribe, decide what you should do next, or replace your treating team. Read the medical boundary.
